The warming weather makes the logistics of our weekly routine easier and allows us to dream about vacations and sleepaway camps. Til then, the kids continue to slog through remote school while the grown-ups bear their difficult jobs. One new wrinkle for us is Asher dipping his toe figuratively and literally into the pool at the local Y, which we go regularly and in which he harbors variable levels of courage to learn how to swim.
