San Jose, Day 2

Because we were up so late, Asher made it all the way to 5:30am local time, which was just about right because I had wanted us to grab breakfast in the hotel once it opened at 6am.  After a long and arduous day of travel, it was nice to have breakfast together as a family first thing in the morning before crowds had formed.  We then hit the grocery store to get some essentials, and then I took Asher to the local Y to get a workout in.  Ah, but due to the observance of Christmas, the place was open but Kid Watch was closed.  Groan.  We doubled back to the hotel and went for a walk along the waterfront before retiring to our room for naps.

In the afternoon, we went to the mall to meet up with my sister and her family, before heading to my parents' house to see them.  Many photos were taken and much food was commandeered.  We returned to our hotel and picnicked in the courtyard before heading to our room to watch game shows and call it our usual early night.  We are now on local time, but I fear that will mean a very early morning tomorrow.
