Report card conferences last week. A good way to check in on how the kids are doing in their schools. Here's what was learned:Jada continues to excel. She got straight A's again, making that all A's except for a 1st quarter B in writing. Her teacher continues to love her and use her to help others after she's whizzed through the assignment herself. I especially like that her love for facts (especially about geography) has become contagious; now half her friends have a copy of the National Geographic Almanac that she thumbs through all the time.
Aaron made honor roll again. He made big strides in reading and is doing well in math as well. We still need to bang on him because his reading comprehension leaves something to be desired. But he's what you want in a student if you're a teacher: he works hard, he thinks hard, and he's nice to others. Yup, that's our Goo Bear.
