Seven years ago today, we culminated a yearlong legal process and met a little baby for the first time who we'd only seen in pictures to date. She has grown into a beautiful little girl who we are so thankful to God for. Parents rightly celebrate their children's birthdays, as milestones of growing up and remembrances of the precious event called childbirth. Adoptive parents add to their children's birthdays another moment for celebration - a "Gotcha Day" - to commemorate that point of beginning.
Jada, we "gotcha" today. And we're never letting go.
