I don't know how they were able to broker a truce with him, but the birds are no longer Aaron's favorite thing to yell at. One day as we were walking home from school, Aaron pointed out a flock of birds on the ground in front of us. He said, "I'm not going to scare them because they're eating now." Apparently he respects the birds' right to eat without being bothered. Sure enough, we passed right by them without a peep from Aaron. Funny what goes on inside that little head of his.
