Learning From Others
In a couple of weeks, we’ll be at my sister’s wedding in California, as will most of my cousins on my mom’s side. Most of my cousins also have kids, and those who do have been parents for anywhere from fifteen months to six years. Meanwhile, as of this writing, Amy and I have been parents for less than four months. So while we’re looking forward to seeing relatives and introducing Jada to family members closer to her age, we’re also looking forward to asking some questions and taking some notes. After all, Jada might have come with an abandonment certificate and a medical report, but she didn’t come with an instruction manual.
