More on Ningdu
So I did a little Google searching on the county and orphanage where our daughter is now. Thank God for the Internet and for adoptive parents who have gone before us and documented their experiences. The good news is that the orphanage appears to be a in good condition structurally, and the caregivers there are very good. What worries us a little is that babies who have been adopted from there have had high lead levels; thankfully, babies our daughter’s age usually end up getting those levels back down to normal within a few years, but we’ll have to monitor it. I’ve also learned that pretty much everyone is already potty-trained; impressive! So much more to learn about out little one.
