Asher is, like just about all kids, developmentally ahead on some things and behind on other things. One area where he's right on track for a four-year-old is in imagining and telling wild tales. His vocab may be primitive for a child his age, but he more than makes up for it in theatrics and stage presence. Here's a snippet from a video recording I was able to make before bursting into laughter. Look at the dramatic pauses, the hand gestures, the crescendos. I tell you, the kid is going to be a star. In other words, he is, right now, a typical four-year-old.
