Jada has gotten all her college applications in. She ended up applying to about 15 places from all over the country, all of which she'd be fine spending four years at, although obviously some of more interest than others. UCLA remains her top choice, and it does not have Early Decision so she did not do Early Decision at any other place.
We will find out by no later than April 1 where she got accepted. From there we will make plans to move her in and support this exciting next step of her life journey, which could be a short drive away or all the way across the country.
Proud of her so far, both in what she's achieved in school and her navigating this application process largely on her own. We have a bona fide young woman in our house. She knows what she wants and is ready to take on the world. We are, beaming with joy albeit through some happy tears, cheering her on along the way.
