ADHD means extra-curriculars are helpful but also fraught. Helpful because it's a routinized activity that can serve as grounding and outlet. Fraught because it can be overwhelming to initiate and stick with a new thing. So we've tried but not had much luck with signing Asher up for things. But so far circus school seems to be sticking.
There's actually a school of circus in our city, and it offers classes for as young as 6 year olds. Asher is in that youngest class, and while it's been touch and go at times he seems to like rolling around, hanging upside down, and other things you get to do when you're learning circus tricks. So we'll take the W for now.
