Good first full day in Williamsburg. Asher mercifully slept until a reasonable
hour. In fact, our only snag in the
morning was that Aaron and Jada slept in too long; we were inclined to let them
get their Z’s so we let them be for a while, but they went way long.
No matter; we took our time with breakfast and then hit Williamsburg
Botanical Garden and Freedom Park for a nice walk and many photo ops.
We retired back to the hotel room for naps for me and Asher,
while Amy took the older kids for a dip in the pool. Then we spent the rest of the day with old
friends who live in town, and who treated us to a day at Virginia Living Museum
plus dinner. It was early enough when we
got back to our room to take another dip in the pool, this time all five of us
(and, happily, it seemed like half the hotel too).
