1 Month Old

Can it have been 30 days since this little due burst onto the scene?  He has of course changed everything for us, and we are all smiles as a result.  Seriously:

1. Amy is over the moon being on leave and luxuriating in her uninterrupted baby time.  Having the newborn experience, while challenging at times, has meant so much to her.  She is very happy.

2. Jada and Aaron adore having a little baby brother.  They coo over him, help with feedings, and feel a sense of protectiveness over their helpless little sibling.  It's what we wanted for them to experience.

3. Because of #1 and #2, I am pleased.  Plus the newborn-induced sleep craziness hasn't been too too bad, largely because Amy has borne so much of the burden and made life much easier for me.

When we went for it on this third adoption, we wondered if we were crazy.  Maybe we are.  But one month in, I can say that I'm so glad we decided to go for it.  God has blessed us richly and we are thankful.
