Staycation
I had a Sheraton Center City hotel voucher that was about to expire so the family decided to do a staycation downtown this past weekend. We rode the bus into Center City and walked through busy Saturday afternoon traffic to the hotel. After checking in and getting settled into our room, we hit the Free Library and Sister Cities Park and swam in the hotel pool before grabbing food and retiring to our room. (Seeing sights and then gorging on food and cable is definitely becoming a Huang family vacation tradition.)
The next morning, we ran up the Parkway to the Art Museum, taking pics at the Rodin Museum and the Barnes Foundation along the way. This worked up a mighty appetite, which we whetted at the hotel breakfast buffet. After that, Amy got in a workout while I napped and the kids watched TV, and then alas it was time to head home. What a fun weekend, and we didn't even have to leave the city!
