Sandy knocked out schools, closed offices, and kept the four of us at home. I had to work, and the kids can only watch so much TV, so Amy sprung into action, turning the place into one big schoolhouse. Classes included PE, science, and art. Not only did I get uninterrupted time to have phone meetings and get reports done, but I got a big slab of brownie after dinner, the end product of home ec class.
Today, of course, is more of the same, in terms of Sandy's effects. Who knows what we'll try today. But home-schooling sure worked yesterday.
