Last weekend brought the end of Aaron's baseball season. It was neat seeing him make so much progress in these two months, from not knowing a lick to getting more and more comfortable with hitting and fielding and running and throwing. Unlike me when I was his age, he doesn't obsess over baseball every waking hour or throw himself grounders and pop-ups until dark. But I think he enjoyed getting cheered on, being on a team, and having something that he and I did together. We're not sure if we'll sign him up again next year, but we can consider this year a raging success.
