Parent teacher conference yesterday afternoon meant I had to zig zag between work, home, school, a meeting in Camden, and then back to school for pick-up. All for 15 minutes with Jada's teacher and student teacher. But it was illuminating to go over the topics on her report card, to see where she is doing well (reading) and where she needs improvement (writing). Their take on Jada is how Amy and I see her, too, so that's always good. I was glad to hear them say she's progressing nicely, and to get some tips on how to help her along in areas where she can use the support. Two report cards left for first grade and then the school year will be over; where is the time going?
