Four kids in a room, two of whom are up late and two of whom are up early? I held my breath. Thankfully, they fell asleep the night before relatively quickly, and slept in until 6:15 am, which was plenty late for me. After serving them breakfast, we took them to the nearby park to run around, and then hit the beach because the beautiful day was already starting to show itself.
We ended up spending several hours there, fortified by roast beef sandwiches and taking turns frolicking in the water and digging holes in the sand. Before dinner, we took them to a bigger park a couple of miles away, and then after dinner, we took them for a walk on the beach. What a glorious day of friends and fun.
