Smart Kid, Pretty Mama

Aaron's smarter than I often give him credit for. He was fixated on a back cover ad featuring Angelina Jolie, insisting on continuing to look at it even as we were starting dinner. Amy came into the kitchen and I explained Aaron's request to her. She asked Aaron, "She's pretty, huh?" A nod of the head. "Am I pretty?" Another nod. "Who's prettier: her or Mama?" Without blinking, Aaron says, "Her and Mama."

Amy bounded towards the sink with a bounce in her step. "That's a good boy, thinks I'm as pretty as Angelina Jolie."

So, I might have practiced this with Aaron right before Amy entered the scene. Still, smart kid.
