Jada's classmates take turns being "Student of the Week," and this week is finally her week. The festivities include a whole week's worth of assignments, designed to give the student multiple opportunities to share about their lives. So one day Jada had to bring in family photos and tell the class about the pictures. Another day she brought in a favorite toy or game; in her case, it was a little stuffed penguin she sleeps with. The last day it was a favorite book, and I forget which of the 100+ ones she cycles through she ended up bringing.
It was fun to see how excited she was to have this honor and attention. Now that she has gotten some practice sharing about her home life at school, now if we can just get her to share more about her school life at home.
