First Chore
My first chore, starting when I was six, was to take all of the plastic baggies from the indoor garbage cans, replace them, and bring them to my dad to take outside. I got paid two cents, and I dutifully recorded it in my bank book.
We're still working on the bank book part with Jada, but her first chore is the same as her dad's. Yesterday, in preparation for garbage day, I walked around the house with Jada and showed her what to do. She seemed pleased to have this responsibility.
Aaron tagged along, begging for a chore, too. I'll have to think of something regular for him. When Amy and I are worn out from doing so much around the house, the thought of the kids starting to pull their weight sounds pretty good.
