Sharing Top Billing on an Eventful Day
Aaron's had some trouble since Amy started working. Change is hard for him, as is less time and more hurry from his Mama. Yesterday, with it being Jada's first day of kindergarten, he seemed to need even more TLC: as we headed out, he headed back not once, not twice, but three times to give Amy kisses. The poor guy just wants to be loved.
But by the end of the day, he was not overshadowed by his big sis after all. For, as I arrived at his school to pick him up that evening, he was in the process of feeling for the first time that he needed to go poopie before he actually went. Which meant there was time for his teacher to get him to the bathroom, where he put his very first poopie in a toilet.
When Amy got home later that evening and I had Aaron share his big accomplishment, she was so excited. Many kisses ensued. When you're three, it's good to hit such a big milestone and get positive affirmation from it as a result. Even on days when you have to share top billing with a big sis going to kindergarten for the first time.
