These Are My Kids

This video, taken from my cousin Maryanne's wedding reception, is a microcosm of my kids: for better or for worse, they are completely without guile, a tad on the rambunctious side, often without regard for their immediate surroundings or for potential dangers around them, and so childishly free that they have no concept at all of what cares they are free of. If my mom ever sees this video, she will look on with horror; and, while part of me will as well, another part of me will smile a bemused smile, for I have captured the essence of my kids, for good and bad, in 35 seconds.
