Dispatches from the Home Front - Tuesday the 19th

A thankfully uneventful day making our way home from San Jose. My dad took us to the airport early in the morning, and Jada and I made it through security with minimal delay. She spent the first flight watching Schoolhouse Rock and Little Mermaid, coloring with her fancy new pencils, and looking out of the window.

Our layover in O'Hare was just long enough to get McDonald's and ice cream. Sadly, one of the busiest airports in the US has no really good play areas for kids; in contrast, Philly has at least two really good ones, courtesy of Please Touch Museum.

The ice cream lasted into the second flight, after which more DVD watching and drawing ensued. Soon enough, we were touching down at home and reuniting with Aaron and Amy. It was a good trip, but it was good to be home.
