Communications Strategy

As a follow-up on a post from a few weeks back concerning Jada’s developmental evaluation, we got her results in the mail earlier this week. Not surprisingly, she is about a year behind on overall communications, a little ahead on identifying letters/colors/sounds/objects, and over a year ahead on numbers and counting. So we’ll be stepping up the speech therapy appointments and I’ll be dusting off my old accounting textbooks for her.

I’m kidding about the accounting textbooks. All kidding aside, we’re glad to have this professional assessment, and grateful to have some resources to shore up areas where Jada struggles. And, as my dad correctly points out, Jada has her own pace, just like every other kid, and we all love her for who she is.
