On weekends, you'll normally find us whizzing all over the place, whether to frequent old haunts or try out new ones. But, partly because of a lack of plans and partly because of the chaos that was last week, we laid low this past weekend:
* Saturday morning, we walked down the street to the Penn campus to feed the birds and squirrels.
* Saturday afternoon, the kids played in the sandbox in the backyard.
* Sunday morning, we went to church.
* And Sunday afternoon, we went down the street to the playground.
So the car sat idle, and we didn't spend a cent. Take that back: Aaron and Amy headed home from the playground early, and on the way home, I stopped by CVS with Jada and I bought a 50-cent juice that we shared. The best things in life may be free, but to quench your thirst and have a little father-daughter bonding, you have to splurge a little and part with two quarters.
