It's a Zoo Around Here

Lately, Jada has been in this phase where she insists on us calling her "baby (insert animal here)." One day, we'll all be monkeys: so I'm to be "Dada Monkey," Amy is "Mama Monkey," and Jada and Aaron are baby monkeys. The next day we might all become cows, and the day after we're all birds. It's hard enough keeping track of pet names - how many times has Jada told me, "No, Aaron is 'Bub,' I'm 'Sweetie'" - but now I have to keep track of what animal we are that day. I tell you, it's a zoo around here sometimes.
