Yesterday, we celebrated the third anniversary of getting Jada. In the morning, we four took the subway downtown and made a beeline for Reading Terminal Market, where we filled our noses with many fragrant smells and ended up choosing Indian food. We made a pit stop in Chinatown for bean buns and pastries before heading for home.
In the afternoon, Granddad and Nana came over, as did Aunt Nicol and Uncle Matt. We took them to the zoo and then returned home for Chinese food, Gotcha Day presents, and cake. Jada also got her fourth Gotcha Day gift from China, a two-doll set that she seemed to like.
It's days like this that make us thankful for that day three years ago when she entered into our lives. We're thankful to God for her, for how she's grown over time, and for all of the people who love her like we do who we've been able to enjoy life with. Gotcha, Jada.
