You're Invited to a Barbeque That Starts at 4

What's summertime in the city without a block party and a barbeque? In fact, that's what our holiday weekend has consisted of. Aaron and I crashed a block party down the street and scored some good food and some good catch-up time with folks we know in the neighborhood. Although we just missed the biggest name on the invite list: my friend who organized it is a big Obama campaigner, and he was able to get Governor Rendell to stop by to stump for a bit.

The next day, we hosted a small gathering at our house. Amy cooked up a storm, Aaron ate watermelon and let the juices run down his shirt, and Jada played in her sandbox. And me, I took footage, which you see below.

By the way, if you're wondering about the cryptic post title, it's a line from a favorite summertime jam of mine called, naturally, "Summertime." The video is below; our barbecue wasn't as well attended, but we had just as much fun.
