The mother of my business partner in the US Virgin Islands runs a guest house, so we four stayed there while we were in town. There's some history to it - it was once owned by none other than Santa Anna, former president of Mexico - and because it's up on a hill, the views are incredible. Up the hill is the Governor's residence, and down the hill is downtown - close enough that we walked to many of my work meetings, although too hilly and step-ridden for too many quick jaunts with the kids. All in all, it was a fun way to spend our first week in the US Virgin Islands.
