I knew this day would come. The boy can climb out of his crib now. This is usually not a problem, since by bedtime the only thing he wants to do is close his eyes and fall asleep. But we got a glimpse of this in Ocean City, when he climbed out of the Pack and Play we used as his crib. The crib at home has higher walls, but at this point it was only a matter of time.
Sure enough, after a fun evening of horseplay, I took Aaron to bed and he was not at all ready to be left out of the family fun. We let him cry a good five minutes, and then Amy went upstairs to calm him down; only to find him on the ground in his room. It only took one more time back in the crib for him to stay there, but now we know if he's not ready to stay in bed, he can actually do something about it now.
