Not Your Typical Trip to the Park

It's not every day that a world renowned orchestra (in this case, the Philadelphia Orchestra) visits your neighborhood park - although it did happen just six years ago. That's right: as in 2001, Clark Park played host to the Philadelphia Orchestra and to probably well over a thousand onlookers. It was a great atmosphere: kids and dogs, ice cream trucks, and darn good classical music.

It was especially nice to get out of the house, after Jada's stomach bug had gotten us quarantined from our previously scheduled social calendar to avoid infecting others. In case you're wondering, Jada was feeling good enough to frolic in the grass, pound the popcorn, and even steal a Yoohoo from Amy.

All in all, a good time was had by all. Kudos to the Orchestra, the Friends of Clark Park, the University City District, and other sponsors. Bring it all back again soon!
