Helpful Class

Our church just started offering a parenting class that includes day
care. Amy saw this and said that she wanted to go, and that if she
took Jada, it would give me a window of free time. I thanked her
profusely.

Last weekend was the first class. It all couldn't have been better.
Jada had more time with other kids, Amy learned a few things, and we
talked about it afterwards. Best of all, I got an hour and a half to
myself. I luxuriated in it, curling up with a book and enjoying the
silence. I could practically feel myself getting recharged.

Maybe I should actually go to the class - I'm sure I'd learn a ton.
But I have a feeling that that hour and change at home alone is the
best thing I could do for myself to become a better parent.
