1. Weighing in at 7 pounds and 7 ounces, the baby boy was born on January 12. There is a yet to be determined number of weeks and months left of paperwork, although it should be shorter than the usual six months for a Taiwan-to-US adoption since we're paperwork pros now and have a lot of the items rarin' to go. A big unknown at this point is whether or not Amy and I have to go to Taiwan to finalize the process, or if my parents can go on our behalf.
2. The last part of our China application is finally completed, a good month after we thought we'd be done; it's a long story which I'm happy to share with you privately but can't publicly post, but believe it or not it has to do with politics. And now begins an even longer wait - 15-24 months, by the estimation of our adoption agency - til we meet our daughter.
