I try to get Jada out of the house as much as possible on the weekends, partly in search of adventure and partly to give Amy space to study, clean, or relax. Amy had a lot of studying to do this weekend, and it was the kind that's especially hard to do with frequent interruptions by a certain someone who likes to hug her mommy. Unfortunately, Jada wasn't feeling well this weekend, so we kind of had to stay close to home.
So we all had to flex a little: Amy had to figure out how to get her stuff done with shorter time windows than usual. And I had to figure out how to keep Jada somewhat entertained during long stretches of time at home. Fortunately, after not feeling as well early on in the weekend, her spirits improved later on, and she was pretty well-behaved throughout.
As much as I tried to explain to her that mommy needed study time, though, she couldn't help but want to be with Amy and like Amy. So when Amy did some spot cleaning, there was Jada nearby with vacuum cleaner attachments in hand. And when Amy snuck down to the basement to get a run in on the treadmill, Jada assumed Amy's spot in front of the computer and rapped out a few pages of text. It really is cute and sweet to see this round little Chinese girl act and sound just like Amy.
