Jada's slept so well the past few months that I've gotten spoiled. It
is a wonderful thing to put your baby down for the night and know you
won't be hearing from her for twelve hours. Believe me, I don't take
it for granted.
But I do think I've gotten a little soft. Here in California, Jada
hasn't slept as well. One night she woke up really early, and another
night she cried herself awake a couple of times. Given all the
circumstances – a long flight, a three-hour time difference, a busy
social schedule, and new surroundings – she's done remarkably well.
But she hasn't slept for twelve straight hours every night, like she
used to. Spoiled as I am, I miss it already.
