Getting to Know Her

We got our baby’s medical report in the mail. She was found on February 27 and was probably three days old at the time. She was 19.7 inches and 6.4 pounds then, and when they measured her again at 3 ½ months, she was 23.6 inches and 11.4 pounds. She’s already on a schedule: up at 6am, eat at 6:30am, eat at 9:00am, sleep from 9:30am-10:30am, eat at 11:30am, eat at 2:00pm, sleep from 2:30pm-3:30pm, eat at 5:30pm, eat at 8:00pm, down at 8:30pm, with one more meal at 3:30am. She can raise her head while lying on her stomach, and her eyes can follow movements from side to side. She can distinguish the voices of her caretakers, and will stop crying and start listening when she hears them. She likes being around others, and cries when people leave her. And the more I get to know her, the more I realize she’s perfect. I can’t wait to meet her.
