The Musical is Seussical

Image result for SeussicalI often joke that I have failed as an Asian parent in that none of our kids have had private piano or violin lessons.  I'm not sure I know another Asian parent who has whiffed like I have.  It is a source of mild embarrassment, although not so bad that you can't tease me about it.

Wonder of wonders, despite not providing much push in this direction, Jada has gotten really into musical.  She has been in Philadelphia Girls Choir for a few years now, and has no intention of quitting now that she is off to high school soon.  She has been doing violin and choir through school for a bit now, and made all-City in both, which means even more practices and performances.

And this year, for the first time, she tried out for the school musical.  She didn't get the part she wanted, but has a part nonetheless, and is excited to take part.  Performances will be today, tomorrow, and Thursday, and Amy and I are looking forward to cheering her on.  The musical is Seussical, and it promises to be one that will leave us proud parents beaming.
