Back to School Night

This past week was Back to School Night for the kids.  This necessitated I leave work a hair early, and it was a crazy work week, so picture me furiously scribbling notes and reminders on a dog-eared pad the entire packed bus ride from work to school.  But it was worth it to be there, to say hi to Aaron's teacher (who was Jada's teacher two years ago), meet Jada's teacher (who is Aaron's teacher's sister), and catch up with the parents of both kids' friends.  I also left secret notes from both kids in their desks, and beamed at their work on the walls.  It never gets old, this proud dad feeling.
