Halloween in the Neighborhood

Another Halloween, another Huang Family fire drill.  It started with getting Asher from school early in order to get him in costume and make it for the parade in the neighborhood.  This was Asher's first direct exposure to trick-or-treating, and he quickly took to the task, dashing off at the first sight of bowls of candy being given away.  In fact, at one point, I caught him elbow deep in some other kids' stash!

The older kids were on their own before dinner, and chose to connect with their friends and make the parade as well.  We all met up at the house, including two of Jada's friends and two of Aaron's friends, to eat dinner and swap candy, before Amy put Asher to bed and I took the older kids out for after-dark trick-or-treating.

We ended up picking up a few people along the way, and somehow got everyone home by their designated curfew times.  And I made my steps for the day, easily.  Good times all around!
