In Need of a New Food Strategy

As working parents, Amy and I struggle to find the time to squeeze important chores into our busy schedules.  Amy bears all of the cooking load, and that load has gotten increasingly heavy of late.

It seems the little hungry bellies under our roof are getting hungrier and less little.  Jada and Aaron are firmly in growth phases, with Aaron especially consuming prodigious amounts of food on account of moving up in his swim team and going from three one-hour practices to four two-hour practices per week.

Then there's Asher, who can be picky...and yet when he finds something he likes, he can eat man-sized portions.  I shudder to think what mealtime will look like for him when he gets to adolescence.

If we lived in the suburbs, we'd do the "2nd fridge and Costco membership" thing.  What's our strategy?  Beats me.  For now, it's a combination of bigger grocery runs, more grocery runs, more time in the kitchen, and more take-out.  But we're losing.  Maybe it's time for a new strategy.
