With an 8-month-old, there's only so much you can pack into a day, even on vacation in California. We took it pretty easy this day, giving Asher plenty of time for a nap between breakfast and our morning Y run, as well as after lunch. In the late afternoon, we braved Bay Area traffic to go up to Berkeley to see a dear friend of mine and his wife, plus to putter around campus. Interestingly, to kill time earlier that morning we had driven to and through the Santa Clara University and San Jose State University campuses, both near our hotel, so I guess the day ended up being a bit of a West Coast college tour.
