Since late last month, we'd made plans for the kids to spend the weekend with their beloved Aunt Leah. As much as Amy and I looked forward a kid-less weekend, Aaron and especially Jada counted down the days with breathless anticipation.
Despite sky-high expectations, the weekend did not disappoint. The grown-ups' itinerary was relatively bland: catching up on sleep and chores, putting together some Ikea furniture, a nice dinner out, and lots of TV. The kids are better at having fun. Trampolines, video games, and ice cream were heavily involved.
At any rate, it was smiles all around. Thanks, Aunt Leah!
