As much as family is important to Jada, friends are ascendant. Especially now that school days are giving way to summer and camps and vacation, play with friends is more and more on her mind. Looking at these pictures - of Jada and her friends looking at yearbook pictures - you can't help but imagine the same scenes play out over the next 10 years: scrunched up together, giggling about photos, never wanting to be apart.
It's bittersweet, although mostly sweet: our little baby is growing up and becoming independent from us, but she's happy and she has good friends so that makes us happy. (Still, don't think Amy and I won't be making sure we are in her business throughout it all.)
