On account of being in California from Christmas Eve to New Year's Eve, the kids didn't get the quintessential "wake up early in the morning and tear through gifts and stockings" experience until a week later. In fact, it was a hair later than that, because they slept in (for them) on account of the time zone difference. But by 7ish, they were up, invigorated by a good night's sleep in their own beds, and ready for presents. Amy and I exchanged presents, as well. Everyone was happy with what they got, as evidenced by everybody's happy humming. Good times, even if they were delayed.
