Media Intake
Not having cable, not owning an iPad, and not watching TV means the kids don't have much access to the latest and greatest shows, which means they're not too bombarded with ads for the latest and greatest toys. Which is good. Old-schooler that I am, I'm particularly pleased that their interest include a number of throwbacks that we've turned them on to via Netflix, like Pink Panther.
I'm sure it won't be long before peer pressure increases their pressure to be "in the know" when it comes to contemporary entertainment. But for now, I'm glad the kids are relatively unsullied by modern media.
