First Cousin

This Father's Day family gathering doubled as our introduction to Baby Nathan, Aunt Nicol and Uncle Matt's new arrival. Jada was, predictably, blase about meeting her new cousin. Aaron was, intrigingly, curious (and, thankfully, not too ungentle). Amy and especially I marveled at how small he is; having gotten our kids at 7 1/2 and 5 months, I in particular haven't had much exposure to six-day old babies. Baby Nathan is, of course, quite the looker; and, so far, blissfully calm and sleepy. Congrats to Aunt Nicol and Uncle Matt, and we'll look forward to watching him grow over the years.
