Sometimes on the weekends when Jada's watching TV, I like to flip over to the ballgame - just to see the score, I swear. Jada frantically begs with me to change it back, of course; it's rude of me to just swap screens like that.
But I think she's starting to get a hankering for her Dada's childhood love. She's not as into TV, so when I'm watching a game, she usually doesn't ask for me to change the channel. And now she's on a Charlie Brown kick on Netflix, and her favorite is "Lucy Must Be Traded," which is all about the Peanuts gang's exploits on the diamond. She tells me "I like watching baseball . . . just like Dada." Indeed.
