Too Much Sugar
We met up with some friends this evening at a very family-friendly all-you-can-eat salad bar. The kids were both hungry, so they were on their best behavior as they scarfed down cottage cheese, pizza crust, and ziti. I was so happy that Jada actually had a reasonably balanced meal that I gave in to her request for pudding. But then I gave in to her request for seconds. And then thirds. And then soft serve ice cream. Which melted all the good behavior away and replaced it with a rambunctiousness that eventually caused us to leave the restaurant and let Jada burn off the sugar high by running around the mall for fifteen minutes. Rookie mistake on my part: way too much sugar. Lesson learned.
