Amy's dad is the typical granddad, ever seeking to spoil Jada and ever incredulous when we tell him about something bad Jada did. We joke that if we ever left them together for a weekend, we'd return to find the house in shambles, torn toilet paper everywhere, and both of their mouths caked with, well, cake.
Maybe we're just being softies, but we don't really mind. I think we're probably a little right of center, in terms of preferring to have Jada locked down rather than roaming free, behaviorially. But we understand that a little looseness in the rules is good for kids. Especially when it means having a typical granddad.
